Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Retailor ("Retailor", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Retailor, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Retailor. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. The service

Retailor uses AI to rewrite your CV for a specific job, write a matching cover letter and apply adjustments you ask for. It also shows a keyword fit score and suggests gaps you may want to address.

You must be at least 16 to use Retailor.

2. Your account

• You need an account, created with your email or Google sign-in, to tailor CVs. New accounts get 1 free credit.
• Accounts are for one person. Keep access to your email secure, as it controls your account.
• Give us an email address you can receive messages at. We use it for sign-in, receipts and account notices.

3. Credits and payments

• What a credit buys: 1 credit tailors one CV for one job. That tailoring includes up to 3 cover letters and 5 adjustments, used within 14 days.
• Prices: credits are sold in packs. Prices depend on your region and are shown before you pay, in the currency you'll be charged. We may change prices, but a change never affects credits you've already bought.
• Payment: Paystack processes payments. Credits are added to your account as soon as Paystack confirms the payment.
• Limits: you can buy up to 50 credits per calendar month.
• No expiry: credits don't expire while your account is open.
• Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred to another account and can only be used on Retailor.
• The free welcome credit is limited to one per person. Creating extra accounts to collect free credits isn't allowed.

4. Refunds

• When Retailor fails: if a tailoring can't be completed, or what you uploaded isn't a CV, your credit is returned automatically.
• Unused credits: email us within 14 days of a purchase and we'll refund any credits from that purchase you haven't used, to your original payment method.
• Charged but no credits? Refresh the app first. If the credits still aren't there, email us with the payment date and amount and we'll sort it out.
• Credits already used for a completed tailoring can't be refunded. If a result is clearly wrong, email us and we'll look at it fairly.

Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you.

5. Referrals and partners

• Refer a friend: every account has a personal referral link. A new user who signs up with it gets 1 bonus credit. When that person makes their first purchase, you get 1 free credit.
• A referral code can only be added when someone first joins, and you can't refer yourself or create extra accounts to earn rewards.
• Partners: recruiters, career coaches and others we approve can earn a cash commission on purchases made by people they refer. The rate and period are agreed with each partner. Commission becomes payable 14 days after a purchase and is cancelled if the purchase is refunded.
• Partner payouts: we pay partners on the last working day of each month, for all commission that has become payable by that day. The minimum payout is ₦2,000 (or the equivalent in another currency). If you're owed less than that, the balance rolls over to the next month until it reaches the minimum.
• Partners must tell the people they refer that they earn a commission, and must never make buying Retailor credits a condition of being considered for a job.
• We may withhold or reverse rewards and commission earned through fake accounts, spam or misleading claims, and we may change or end these programmes. Rewards already earned fairly stay yours.

6. Your content

• Your CV, job ads and the documents Retailor produces for you are yours.
• You give us permission to process your content only as needed to provide Retailor, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• Only upload CVs that are your own, or that you have permission to use.

7. Fair use

Please don't:

• use Retailor to invent qualifications, employers or experience, or to mislead employers,
• upload unlawful, harmful or other people's private content,
• try to get around credits, limits or security, or access other people's accounts,
• scrape, copy, resell or automate access to Retailor without our written permission, or
• disrupt or overload the service.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules. Where possible, we'll tell you why first.

8. About AI results

• Retailor is designed to rework only what's in your CV and not to invent facts. But AI can make mistakes, so always read and check your documents before you send them. You're responsible for what you submit to employers.
• Keyword fit scores are Retailor's own estimate. Employers' applicant tracking systems score CVs differently.
• We can't guarantee interviews, job offers or any particular result.

9. Availability and liability

We work hard to keep Retailor running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and we may change or improve features over time. Retailor is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost job opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid Retailor in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Ending your account

You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing us. Unused credits can be refunded under the rules in Refunds. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it applies. Continuing to use Retailor after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you live in another country, you keep any protections your local law gives you.
